Together with two other members of the European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning (EFQUEL), the e-Learning Quality Service Center (eLQSC) and the Agence Wallone des Télécommunications (awt), the Learning Agency Network has worked on developing an international quality label for e-Learning courseware.
This quality label will be once launched under the name "EPPROBATE" (from "approbate"). The quality grid and the review methodology shall be further developed within a Special Interest Group. Both founding organisations, awt and ELQSC, have brought in their quality criteria and approaches for discussion.
The Learning Agency Network has in addition elaborated a concept for reviewing, which is consisting of role models (pedagogical expert, subject expert, peer, target group) and a flexible rating mechanism including a commenting functionality.
Already now, the initiative has received great interest: 12 international experts are currently involved in the consensus building process. Tomorrow morning at 10:00 CET, the first audio meeting will be held.
